Awatere Sauvignon Blanc 2019 New Release
Blended from Breezemere and Thistle Hill vineyard, this wine takes the delicasy and minerality of the Thistle Hill site and combines it with the richness and texture of the Breezemere vineyard. The resulting wine has a complex and enticing bouquet of dried herb, crushed stone and orange zest and on the palate grapefruit, peach, apple and quince. 96 cases made
Cameron Douglas MS 94/100
An enticing bouquet with aromas of salty air, savoury dried herbs and a core of fruit. Complex and enticing. On the palate - crisp, salty, tense, refreshing, fruity and dry. Flavours of grapefruit and peach, apple and quince. Dried herb and crushed stone minerality. The one persistent flavour is lemon, the one persistent texture is a chalky mineral laced stone and the salt lick induces a salivation that enhances the minerality. Best drinking from purchase and through 2024

Don’t let the subtleness on the nose fool you into a false sense of sauvignon........... That aromatic subtlety comes from a natural, wild ferment and the deliciously fresh, lemon verbena, lime leaf and citrus blossom notes come from the unique characteristics of Awatere-grown sauvignon. Soft, tingly acidity adds extra verve to the finish.
