Fruit for this wine was carefully hand tended from the Morrison Vineyard in the Waimea Plains of Nelson. After hand-harvest, fruit was basket pressed before fermentation in a seasoned french barrel and stainless steel. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 62 cases made

Marlborough based producer Eaton has sourced some fantastic fruit from Nelson for the expression. It’s unfined and unfiltered fermented using indigenous yeast. Aromas and flavours of savoury white spices, grapefruit peel, white pineapple, lemon and leesy autolysis residues. There’s a floral white peach and apple layer accentuated by acidity and alcohol. An excellent aperitif expression and perfect introduction to Gruner - if you haven’t tried this wine before. Best drinking upon purchase, but will also cellar for another year if required.
