Melton Estate
Syrah 2023 750ml
The 2023 Melton Estate Syrah is made from grapes sourced from a small vineyard in Waipara, Canterbury. In the winery, the grapes were plunged by hand daily to increase skin contact. After a month the juice was racked and made ready for fermentation in oak barrels. Once the ferment was complete the wine was filtered and then bottled in February 2024. This wine is Vegan, Dairy Free and Gluten Free.
This wine boasts typical Syrah flavours of plum and savoury black pepper, with herbal notes. This wine makes for a fantastic food wine, particularly lamb, venison and pasta dishes.
