WINE MAKING NOTES 

The ‘Rouge’ is a blend of red varietals including Merlot, Petit Verdot and Barbera. Each varietal was fermented separately in closed top tanks which were pumped over one to two times a day.  Extraction was gentle to provide full, but soft tannins. Lightly oaked and aged for 6 months prior to blending, this wine was bottled early to retain its aromatic purity and vibrancy.

TASTING NOTES

Dark savoury spice with toasted sweet oak combine with delicious berry notes to give a wine that is wonderfully alluring and aromatic.  Chocolatey tannins provide beautiful richness with layers of crushed berry fruit and plum flavours flowing through a perfectly balanced palate that has a long and juicy finish. A beautiful food wine.
