Askerne Winery
Serieux Rosé 2025 750ml
WINEMAKING NOTES
This rosé is a unique wine made up primarily of the grape variety Mourvèdre (89%), with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Merlot rounding out the blend. The Mourvèdre was direct pressed and individually cool fermented in stainless steel tanks. The other rosé components were sourced via saignée (juice drain off) from freshly crushed Reserve red fruit parcels, also cool fermented in stainless steel tanks. A combination of different aromatic yeast strains were used to build complexity. Different combinations of the various components were trialled until the best blend was found.

TASTING NOTES
Our Sérieux Rosé is a unique blend made predominantly with the Mourvèdre grape varietal. Beautifully fragrant with white blossom florals, aromas of pear, watermelon and guava, layered with crushed oyster shell notes. This dry rose is textural and concentrated with pear and red berry flavours on a long and juicy palate, with delicious saline qualities.
