Askerne
Estate Viognier 2024 750ml
WINEMAKING
The grapes for this wine were sourced from the sandy silt soils of the lower terrace of the Askerne vineyard. Hand-picked and whole bunch pressed, the juice was racked to barrel for fermentation. 50% of the barrels were put through malolactic and the wine was aged on lees for 9 months before being blended. The final blend has a 27% new French oak component and 50% second fill.

TASTING NOTE
Wonderfully aromatic with fresh apricot and peach, jasmine florals, ginger and scented oak notes. The palate is full with wonderfully concentrated stone fruit and citrus flavours and spiced oak richness. Perfectly balanced between acidity, opulence and texture to give a juicy long finish.
