2024 Maxim “Nothing Ventured” Chardonnay (Hawke’s Bay)

Vineyard & Making

A blend of older and younger vines from your Lawn Road block.

Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed; 12-hour settle in tank. Racked with solids into puncheons for fermentation—part wild, part inoculated with a Burgundy yeast. Raised on full lees with monthly stirring until malolactic began in spring, then left to rest for line and tension.

Vegan Friendly

Tasting White peach, lemon curd and nectarine meet almond meal, subtle brioche and a hint of struck flint. Mid-weight and creamy with a pure citrus line; oak sits in support, finishing long, pithy and mineral.

Serve & Cellar Serve 10–12 °C with market fish, roast cauliflower, or chicken + tarragon.
