Gimblett Gravels Pinot Gris 2025 750ml

Bright yellow with a very faint pink around the edge. The nose is full, layered with nuances of spice, underlying fig, pear and citrus. Medium-full bodied, palate of spice and caramel, toast, underlined pear, grapefruit zest, and five-spice unveil and linger on the closing. Savoury lees elements enhanced by the barrel ferment bring a spice with breadth and depth on the palate. The wine is mouth-filling, chalky mineral with a lovely oily texture, lively acidity provides a long finish. This is a Pinot Gris with barrel ferment nuances, wrapped around a lovely acid and mineral drive.
