Welcome to Amoise

No additions or adulterations of any kind.

Amoise wines are crafted by Amy Farnsworth in Te Matau a Māui, Hawke's Bay,  Aotearoa New Zealand. She works with certified organic grapes sourced locally because she believes in responsible farming, improving the health of our soils & growing balanced fruit so that she can make wines with no interventions.

All parcels of fruit are grown biodynamically to understand her connection to the land. This encourages biodiversity, energy & optimal health in the vineyard. Amoise loves working with the smaller planted varieties in Aotearoa - Gamay Noir, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc & Albariño. Her fruit is sourced mostly from the exceptional Two Terraces vineyard in the Mangatahi Terraces (free draining, alluvial gravels over a thin layer of silt loam, underneath which the area’s famous “red metals” lie), and in the Bridge Pā subregion of the Heretaunga plains (old alluvial based soils with a high iron content).

Amoise wines are made with vineyard derived yeast cultures, gentle handling and without additions or adulterations. She strives to make wines that are delicious and that nourish the soul.

"Natural winemaker Amy Farnsworth scored a hat-trick this year, spanning chenin blanc, albariño and this more classic Hawke's Bay variety. This is a newer, lighter style of syrah and NZ is the better for it. Clean and pure - "lovely juice", wrote one judge" -Oliver Styles

"Aotearoa’s New Wave", North & South Magazine"

"Her wines hum with an energy that can only come from using the best, organic fruit sourced from growers with whom she works closely throughout the year"  - David Wrigley
