Amphora Gamay 2025 750ml
Amphora Gamay 2025
Metro Magazine 2025 Wine awards - Top 50
A wine by Canadian expat and Hawke’s Bay natural-wine maker Amy Farnsworth once again graces our top 50. This is a smoky, earthy gamay number with incense, sandalwood and smoke notes as well as notes of red roses. Light and tender on the palate but with sweet red fruits and a great meaty, juicy finish. “I want to drink this on the terrace, under the umbrella with sunglasses on,” said Kim
For those looking for a lighter style of red wine, this Gamay Noir is soft on the palate, with fresh strawberries, redcurrants, bramble and small fine tannins. The wine is fresh and delicate from its time spent in contact with the clay amphora. It works well on its own for apéro or with charcuterie, cheeses and grilled fish.
