Abstract | Three Rows Sauvignon Blanc 2024 750ml New Release
'Abstract' Three Rows Sauvignon Blanc | Marlborough
If classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is all fruit and zing, Abstract exists in another dimension altogether. It’s our ‘Savoury Blanc’, where texture and aromatic complexity bedazzle, and where vineyard and winemaking contribute equally. Just three rows of a dry-farmed parcel are handpicked from the Holdaway Vineyard in Dillons Point. There’s an intense and seductive perfume of blackcurrant and white florals, while winemaking lends savouriness and flinty minerality. Wild fermented in French oak puncheons (15% new) and lees-aged for 15 months, this is a wine rich in texture. With elegance and beautiful balance, it is for enjoyment now but will age with grace and dignity.
From the exceptional 2024 vintage, this wine has a promising future ahead of it.
ACCOLADES
‘Designed as an ageworthy 'Savoury Blanc', the 2024 vintage (*****) was hand-harvested in the Holdaway Vineyard, at Dillons Point, fermented and matured on its yeast lees for 15 months in French oak puncheons (15 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Bright, light lemon/green, with a fragrant, complex bouquet, it is mouthfilling and savoury, with strong, ripe fruit flavours, gently seasoned with biscuity oak, finely balanced acidity and a smooth, persistent finish. A very harmonious, energetic and distinctive wine, with funky notes adding complexity, it's already drinking well, but worth cellaring too.’

OUTSTANDING - ‘Fantastic wine with a powerful statement about fruit selection, site and winemaker’s (both of them) passion and command of this variety and style. Wildflowers and white fleshed fruits, a mineral saline quality spoken through the mist of lees and subtle barrel-ferment suggestions. Delicious, complex, dry and lengthy. A wine that just keeps giving with flavours of citrus and white fleshed fruits, a tropical white tea quality and fresh sage idea. Lengthy, textured, salivating and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2032+.’
96 POINTS | CAMERON DOUGLAS MS | FEBRUARY 2026

‘Simply wonderful nose. Gunflint/smoke, honeyed nuances, bready/brioche characters, chopped herb, straw, now citrus, so complex. Very mouthfilling, clotted cream leesy aspects, caramel, burnt bramble and herb coming into play. So different to your average SB with texture and depth of flavour yet also a refreshing quality. Great length, a fascinating wine.’
