Clos Henri
Waimaunga Sauvignon Blanc 2025 750ml
Lying at the convergence between 3 distinct geological ages, Clos Henri has one of the most distinctive soil morphologies in the Marlborough Valley. Paying homage to these unique terroirs and revealing the true nature of these wines is the ultimate objective of the Bourgeois Family. Our Single Vineyard cuvées tell the story of the simplicity and elegance offered by the confluence of glacial and windswept terroirs.
Dancing a fine line of purity and boldness, Waimaunga Sauvignon Blanc is a result of the natural forces that helped it come to be. Layers of weathered, windblown clays are reflected through swirls of salinity and ripe citrus, giving rise to a generous yet refined organic wine.
Serve with fresh gurnard, white wine risotto and minted peas.

Editor’s Choice & #7 / 100 Top 100 Wines of 2025
"The power from the weathered clay soils of Waimaunga is on full display in this complex wine. There's herb-flecked lime and passionfruit, with salt-and-stone mineral notes tucked behind. The depth and generosity can really be felt on the palate. It's sculpted with a laser beam of acidity, an almost talc-like texture and an ultra long finish. One of this famed region's top Savvy Bs."
94 - THE REAL REVIEW
"Exotic tropical jackfruit aromas with a sulfidic edge sit above the broadly ripe perfume of ripe apple, warm citrus and dried herbs. The palate is generously flavoured with a creaminess which spreads across the palate on a wave of tangy acidity which crests over pithy, spicy phenolics. An entirely different flavour profile for sauvignon blanc – riper and more exotic on the one hand, yet also densely mineral on the other – with a chewy structure which will reward some cellaring and benefit from being served with food."

There is an enticing blend of lilac and honeysuckle florality with an indulgent undercurrent of vanilla custard and delicate spice on the nose. On the palate, there’s juicy, ripe apricot and nectarine, which are seamlessly balanced by a distinctive zesty, chalky texture. These fine-grained chalky notes provide elegant structure, while the generosity of stone fruit is tempered by a precise, mineral-driven backbone, delivering a lengthy, balanced finish.
