Welcome to Jackson Estate Winery e-cellar door.

Jackson Estate has been crafting beautiful wines for over 30 years. Like the iconic gum tree that also graces our label, planted in 1867, our roots run deep.

Famed as a region for some of the world’s best Sauvignon Blanc, Jackson Estate continues to gain a growing recognition for producing outstanding Marlborough Pinot Noirs on a world stage.

Guided by the winemaker and driven by palate, Jackson Estate consistently produces wines of elegance, character, length and finesse.

Low cropping levels, gentle handling and minimal winemaking intervention ensures our wines maintain varietal integrity. With total control of our 76 hectares estate grown fruit, we continue to achieve incremental improvements year on year, in a sustainable and environmentally responsible way.

The fruit from our Single Vineyard Somerset and Eversley sites, are bottled expression of the soils and terroir. Each wine sings of concentrated fruit flavours, complexity and sophistication, developed through time and credited to the heavy clay soils and unique micro-climate of Marlborough Southern Valleys.  While our Homestead vineyard produces beautiful notes of stone fruits and lush tropicals, indicative of its area.

With total respect for our land and focusing on low cropping levels, small batch fermentation, single vineyard fruits and minimal winemaking intervention, we continue to achieve incremental improvements year on year, in a sustainable and environmentally responsible way.

We remain 100 percent kiwi-owned and are staying put on our perfectly balanced soils, growing our beautifully mature vines in this incredible Marlborough climate.

Reviews

Vintage Widow 2018  “A youthful, varietal and complex bouquet with aromas of dark cherry and barrel spices, olive and dried herb, crush stone mineral soil suggestions, clove, smoke and a core of pinosity. New, youthful, tasty, complex and quite delicious on the palate. Red fruits flavours touch the palate first, but are quickly superseded by textures from tannins, acidity and wood smoke flavours and textures. Tannins are medium+ in intensity as is the acidity, the core of fruit coats the palate easily reflecting the darker cherry and berries suggested by the bouquet. A young wine with a taut texture - needing time to age, harmonise more and get ready. Best drinking from 2025 through 2035..” 94 points - excellent. Cameron Douglas MS.

Homestead Pinot Noir 2020 “4.5 stars Matt Patterson-Green has created a pinot noir with serious personality, pluck and charm, and despite being a spring chicken, it's also showing some of the depth and seductive spice of a characterful cougar. The tannins are what get me though; they have delicate grip but lovely intensity. The acidity and textures are vibrant and alive, and the cranberry and cherry complexity make it amazing value for money.” - Yvonne Lorkin, The Herald

Vintage Widow 2015 - "Lovely deep colour. Great intensity of fruit and forest floor notes leap from the glass. The palate adds smoke, spice and lovely savoury hints. Very well structured, with great harmony and balance from the fresh acidity and well-handled tannins. Long complex finish"
