Pheasant Pluckers Ruby Pinot Noir NV 750ml

This fortified red wine in the Ruby Port style is made from Marlborough Pinot Noir grapes of optimum ripeness. Made in the traditional way as done in Portugal, the resulting wine was aged briefly in old barriques to contribute complexity.

The name Pheasant Plucker is just a bit of humour, a tongue twister used to entertain while enjoying the camaraderie of friends. In short - we have produced this Port style wine for fun to celebrate companionship.

For those who may not have heard it, the rhyme goes:

“I’m not the pheasant plucker,

I’m the pheasant plucker’s son.

I’m only plucking pheasants

‘till the pheasant plucker comes.”
