Seek Spy, find why.

Award-winning, sustainably crafted wines that have captured the unique time and place of every harvest since 1993. A family-owned estate, hidden in the heart of Marlborough New Zealand, one of the world’s purest wine regions.

It was a venture that started with a passion for the land. This pioneering spirit established one of New Zealand’s most successful family-run wineries, now growing six varieties on 210 hectares of family vineyards.

The Waihopai Valley isn’t the sort of place you stumble across. Spy Valley share the Waihopai with an international satellite communication station that finds the terroir perfect for spying too.

Unlike the world of espionage, Spy Valley has demanded global attention, where its wine has been called “impossible to ignore” - consistently delivering exceptional experiences for wine lovers around the world.

Our picturesque location in the Waihopai is an intriguing part of the world, one that we invite you to taste and discover...

With award winning wine and architecture, and stunning vistas across the vines to the Richmond Ranges, a visit to Spy Valley Winery and Cellar Door is truly an unforgettable one.

Reviews

 Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2022
Very attractive bouquet of ripe, fleshy tree and tropical fruits, fresh herbs, gooseberry and wet pebbles. Intense, crisp, fruity and varietal with fresh basil and apple flesh, nettles and cape gooseberry flavours. Plenty of acidity and a satin touch offer contrast to the core flavours. Balanced, well made and ready to drink from 2022 through 2025.

Excellent

Spy Valley Rosé 2021
Darker rose and pink grapefruit hued appearance leads to aromas of vibrant, fruity and floral bouquet. Youthful and fragrant. Flavours of strawberries and red apple, some fresh red melon and roses touch the palate first followed by textures satin and crispness from a core of fruit and youthful acid line. Balanced, well made and ready to drink from 2021 through 2024.
