The Edge of the Wairau River is a special place for growing grapes.

The Rose family have a long and proud pioneering history in the Marlborough region with Phil and Chris Rose establishing their vineyards on the banks of the Wairau River in 1978. Marlborough has been home for many generations, and the Rose Family roots run deep – not only in the wine industry, but the community too, since 1858.

It’s also hard to imagine a time when there were no grapevines in New Zealand's Marlborough region, considering the global status of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.Since we first planted grapes back in 1978, the Rose Family has focused on producing quality grapes and subsequently premium wines, with integrity and solid family values.
