On a gentle north-facing slope near Nelson, New Zealand, you’ll find Blackenbrook Vineyard, our small volume, high quality winery.

We are the Schwarzenbach family, producing multiple award-winning wines since first planting vines in 2001. Our seven grape varieties are Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Montepulciano.

Our vines grow into rich Moutere clay soils and the mild maritime breeze gently strokes the grapes ripening on the sun-drenched hillsides.

Proudly hands-on, we strive for minimal interference with natural processes, leading to wines that are pure and genuine. All our white wines are completely unfined and vegan, and we are accredited by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand.
