Seifried Nelson Würzer 2024 750ml

Since 1973, our family has been pouring heart and soul into every bottle we craft. The Seifried label represents our premium estate wines, made from fruit grown on well-established vines, typically over eight years old. When Austrian-born Hermann Seifried heard that this little-known German grape variety – a cross between Gewürztraminer and Müller-Thurgau – was available in New Zealand, he leapt at the chance to get his hands on some scion wood. According to Wikipedia, there are just over 100 hectares of Würzer planted around the world, and here at Seifried, we have 0.44 hectares, planted in 1999. We are proud to be New Zealand’s only Würzer producer!
