Ten Acre Pinot Noir 2024 750ml
Ten Acre is sourced from an established single vineyard in the Gibbston Valley subregion of Central Otago, renown for producing very elegant and vibrant Pinot Noir due to its cooler microclimate. A carefully selected array of Pinot Noir clones were used to provide a complex aromatic profile as well as structural interest and finesse. Being in a cooler micro-climate means this fruit is some of the last to be harvested in the district, so the fruit gets a lengthy period to ripen on the vine developing complex flavours and attaining a high degree of physiological ripeness.
Our Ten Acre Pinot Noir is an authentic and compelling subregional expression of cool-climate Gibbston. It features lifted fresh pomegranate, blue forest fruits and red cherry accompanied by delicate violet florals and an enticing mineral core. Judicious ageing in French oak barriques contributes to a lengthy fine-grained tannin profile while a small proportion of whole cluster fermentation ensures freshness and structural complexity. This is an ethereal, silkily textured wine that is for enjoying now or confidently cellarable for 8 – 10 years.
