Carrick
Bannockburn Pinot Noir Rosé 2024 1.5l
Dry and refreshing, with notes of strawberries and raspberries
A classic, dry and refreshing style, the Carrick Rosé, is a crowd-pleaser, perfect on a hot summer's day, alongside a platter. Made from estate grown, single vineyard, BioGro certified organic Pinot Noir grapes.
Winemaking: Hand-harvested from the lower terrace of Towan Vineyard, this is the first fruit to be picked each year, it is crushed to extract colour, then pressed. Following settling, the juice is racked to a combination of old oak barriques (55%) and tank (45%) for ferment using indigenous yeast. Matured on gross lie for 5 months, before blending and bottling.
“Coppery, rose gold, this dry Rosé is bright and fresh, with rose petal and cherry blossom notes on the nose. The palate is zippy and light, with tart cherry, strawberry and lemon rind. It's delightful and refreshing.” - Winemaker Rosie Menzies
Cellaring Potential: Best from 2024-2026
Food Match: Smoked salmon blini, crème fraîche and capers.
93 points - Excellent
Fragrant and fruity bouquet with scents of fresh summer cherry and strawberry, a mix of red melon and red fruit tea, then a mineral and wild red flowers quality. Crisp and dry with very fine fruit tannins and acid line for mouthfeel and length. Well made, a lovely aperitif expression and likely very good with food. Best from 2024 through end of summer 2027.
