From our Muirkirk vineyard on Felton Road, this single-site Pinot is all about texture, drive, and detail. The soils here are a mix of dense clay loam and schist gravels — which, in the glass, translate to structure, minerality, and a bit of swagger.

The 2022 was naturally fermented with a mix of whole bunch and destemmed fruit, then aged for 13 months in French oak (15% new). No fuss, no tricks — just a focus on site, fruit, and flow.

In the glass: red and dark berries, a flick of spice, fine herbal lift, and a subtle leaf-stem edge. There’s a lush mid-palate, carried by ripe cherry and red currant, underpinned by mineral tannins and vibrant acidity. It’s seamless, supple, and has just the right amount of grip to carry it for years, but drinking beautifully now.

Muirkirk always leans a little more serious — and this release holds that line with ease.
