La Ferme de Sato Les Blanches Chardonnay 2023 750ml

For Les Blanches, we use the grapes harvested at the top of the hill of Block 5 with Mendoza Clone mainly, where the grapes vines got influenced by strong wind at most and hence the size of the bunch are always small. The flavour of chardonnay grapes there tends to be quite intense. Since the harvest volume is always low in that part of the vineyard, the production of Les Blanches is limited. The name of the wine derives from the outlook of this particular parcel of the vineyard; When we developed the vineyard, we noticed this site looked a bit more whity than the other area of the vineyard because of its sandy soil and probably more contamination of quartz and sand stone gravels there. So “Les Blanches = the whites”.
