South Edge Vineyard lies on a sunny northern slope facing the Clutha River in the Alexandra basin. The vineyard was one of the first planted in Central Otago in the 1980s and produces outstanding Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. 

Central Otago is the Southernmost wine growing region in New Zealand and typically has hot dry summer days and cooler nights. The grapes were grown in rocky schist soil and carefully picked by hand. This Chardonnay was lightly barrel fermented in French oak by award-winning wine maker Matt Connell.  The result is a well-balanced Chardonnay with citrus and stone fruit notes and mineral complexity.
