Riesling 2021 750ml

This beautifully balanced Riesling is full of inviting aromas of citrus,, apple blossom, melon, grapefruit peel and green apple. A sweet entry with lime zest, melon and a touch of pink grapefruit. Beautifully balanced, it has a rich front palate that crescendos to a complex, long and mineral finish and the distinctive acidity ensures great potential for aging. Enjoyable at release, this wine will continue to evolve for 8+ years.

The pristine Riesling grapes were hand harvested from a single vineyard near Lake Waitaki at optimal ripeness on 12 April 2021.  The grapes were whole bunch pressed to a stainless steel tank for cold settling for two days. The juice was then racked and the juice inoculated with selected wine yeast and fermented at cool temperatures to retain the fresh aromatics. The fermentation was stopped at the perfect balance of residual sugar and acidity resulting in a just slightly off-dry wine with a long dry, crisp, and mineral finish.

This wine is vegan.
