Frenchmans Hill Estate
Blood Creek 8 2010 750ml Collectors Cellar
100% coastal Waiheke grown blend of 8 varieties grown on the steep warm slopes of Luc Desbonnets site “The 8 Vineyard" above the bright and warm tidal water of the Anzac Bay estuary. A unique wine that only comes from one place. 24 months in fine french barriques. Unfined and minimal filtered. A nod to the great First Growth blends of Bordeaux where Luc studied.

96/100 Bob Campbell MW. "A blend of eight varieties aged in oak for 24 months. Remarkably fresh, elegant wine that carries its 15% alcohol with ease. Rich, yet supple red with tobacco, dark berry, subtle herb and spicy oak flavours. A long and linear wine with power delivered with consummate subtlety." Bob Campbell MW.
