Reserve Cabernet-Merlot-Petit Verdot 2022

A high energy bouquet with distinctive aromas of blackberry and roasted plums, milk and dark chocolate, smoky oak with clove and spiced vanilla pod. As the wine opens out in glass these ideas get louder and stronger , expanding to include black currant and dried herbs. Dry, full-bodied and tense with firm tannins and plenty of acidity, core flavours of dark berry fruits and chocolate goods return. Well made, youthful and still developing. Best drinking from 2029 through 2040.

Magnus 2022

An impressive bouquet of dark berries and baking spices, black currant and roasted plum, chocolate and clove, sweet tobacco and new leather. There’s also a dried earth complexity with a mix of wood smoke and tar. Lots of weight and intensity as the wine touches the palate, flavours of berries, smoke and wood repeat. Tannins and acidity provide a firm foundation for the fruit concentration and new wood influences. Well made, ready to drink or continue to cellar with best drinking from 2026 through 2036.
