The Shed is a kiwi institution, a place of shelter, a feeling of being at home. When the Dunleavy family decided to open a vineyard restaurant to host guests, they converted the old vineyard shed into a casual, friendly dining space to epitomize that sense of comfort when dining among friends and family.

Our expression of Rosé, reminiscent of the Dry Provence style, is made from 100% Merlot grapes grown in a beautiful sun-drenched vineyard in Awaawaroa Bay, near the eastern end of Waiheke Island.

Tasting note from Master Sommelier Cameron Douglas “a delicious, fresh and ripe fruited bouquet packed with strawberries and red plums, a touch of cherry and lots of rose and blossom scents. Crisp, youthful, dry and textured. Flavours mirror the nose with a core of fruit contrasted by acidity and fine fruit tannins. Drinking well now and perhaps best enjoyed alongside food. Enjoy from 2021 through 2023”.
