Martinborough Estate Rosé 2025 750ml
94/100
Stephen Wong
Light salmon-pink. Spicy and complex aromas of crunchy apricot, red kiwifruit, dried citrus peel and cassia bark unfurl with air in the glass. The palate is concentrated yet refreshing, with long, mouth-watering acidity and youthfully primary flavours of red kiwifruit and wild raspberry held in a basket of fine-boned phenolics. The finish is racy, crisp, dry and long, promising a lot more savoury interest to develop in the next year or two.
2027–2029
Delicately coloured with a soft blush hue, the 2025 Rosé opens with lifted aromas of wild strawberry, summer raspberry, and fragrant rose petals. The palate is fresh and expressive, revealing layers of red berries, subtle citrus, and a gentle mineral thread that speaks of Martinborough’s distinctive terroir. Bright acidity carries the wine through to a long, refreshing finish, making it both elegant and effortlessly drinkable.
