2016 KAI Pinot Noir with Flowers

Welcome to Schubert Wines

Kai Schubert and Marion Deimling travelled the world in search of the perfect terroir and conditions for viticulture, especially their favourite variety – Pinot Noir. Their quest took them to the wine regions of France, Germany, Oregon, California, South America and Australia and ended in Martinborough in the beautiful Wairarapa Valley.

Here they found the perfect climate and conditions for producing low yields and excellent quality grapes. Since 1998 Schubert Wines have been growing and producing wines with intense and complex character that are now nationally and internationally award winning.

Schubert Chardonnay 2024

Top 3 Chardonnay from New Zealand

95 Points - Stephen Wong

"A tight, modern style of chardonnay with salinity, this is a thoroughly current interpretation. Juicy citrus and white-fleshed nectarine are coralled by grainy phenolics, leading to oyster-shell flavours and acid-driven length. Roasted nuts and salinity emerge quietly on the finish." The Real Review

Schubert Block B 2024

95 Points - Stephen Wong

"A generously concentrated, intense and young pinot noir with lashings of vanilla cream and cinnamon sugar across the fruit, yet also compact and densely flavoured." The Real Review

Schubert Syrah 2019

95 Points - Decanter, TOP 6 Syrah from New Zealand

“Elegant black fruit aromas. Powerful on the palate with lots of black pepper and bramble, and a mineral-driven backbone. A very long finish with notes of tapenade and dried violet.” Christine Marsiglio MW, Decanter – 95 Points
