Welcome to Schubert Wines
Kai Schubert and Marion Deimling travelled the world in search of the perfect terroir and conditions for viticulture, especially their favourite variety – Pinot Noir. Their quest took them to the wine regions of France, Germany, Oregon, California, South America and Australia and ended in Martinborough in the beautiful Wairarapa Valley.
Here they found the perfect climate and conditions for producing low yields and excellent quality grapes. Since 1998 Schubert Wines have been growing and producing wines with intense and complex character that are now nationally and internationally award winning.
Reviews
Schubert Syrah 2019
95 Points - Decanter, TOP 6 Syrah from New Zealand
“Elegant black fruit aromas. Powerful on the palate with lots of black pepper and bramble, and a mineral-driven backbone. A very long finish with notes of tapenade and dried violet.” Christine Marsiglio MW, Decanter – 95 Points
Schubert Block B 2021
#1 Pinot Noir - WineFolio 'Top 10 Tasting'
"The 2021 wine shows rich dark fruit, plums and black cherry; a lush and sumptuous Pinot Noir with some toasty oak yet complex intertwined with aromas of small-leafed herbs, rosewood and a hint of chocolate. Impressive body yet not overpowering it is elegant with soft, fine tannins that will allow it to age beautifully” - David Walker Bell
Schubert Chardonnay 2022
94 Points - James Suckling
"A lovely new chardonnay with nougat, cooked apple and peach. Medium body with pretty fruit and a tangy finish. Should develop nicely."
