Welcome to Allan Scott Family Winemakers e-cellar door
Just like the vines themselves, the family's story is entwined in the very roots of Marlborough winemaking. Allan Scott planted some of the region's first vineyards in the 1970s and has been a part of every vintage grown here since.
In 1990, Allan and his wife Catherine founded Allan Scott Family Winemakers, one of the region's first independent wineries. Just as the name promises, it has always been a family endeavour, and now it has evolved into a true family calling. Allan and Cathy's children, son Josh and younger daughter Sara, have assumed full control of the company and lead the production, management, and development with a highly skilled operational team.
Marlborough, renowned for its unique blend of cool nights, sunlit days, and young soils, has gained global recognition as an exceptional wine region. Nestled in the heart of Marlborough's renowned Rapaura Region, embraced by the majestic Richmond Range and the captivating Wither Hills, lies a place of exquisite beauty. This idyllic location is blessed by the gentle flow of the Wairau River, which gracefully winds its way towards the voracious embrace of the Pacific Ocean.
It is here that the family's first vineyards were established, strategically located in close proximity to the winery.
The next generation of Scotts have passionately taken up the reigns, injecting their love for winemaking and fresh approach to the label, extending geographical boundaries, while honouring the provenance and heritage of what their parents have created.
By harnessing the distinct qualities of each individual vineyard and employing tailored viticultural practices for each site, they are able to fully capitalise on their potential. The diverse soil compositions and vine ages allow us to achieve a spectrum of quintessential Marlborough characteristics, ranging from herbaceous notes to lusciously ripe tropical flavours. Every vine receives meticulous care and attention, as our dedicated team strives to create the finest wines with each passing vintage.
The Scott family attributes their achievements to the exceptional vineyard sites they have carefully chosen, an intimate understanding of the terroir, ideal growing conditions, and an unwavering commitment to crafting the world's finest wines.

Kekerengu Sauvignon Blanc 2022
The Key lime, dried pineapple and passion fruit flavors at the core of this white show terrific purity, with a lip-smacking mix of crunchy sea salt, toasted herb and tropical notes. Reveals intense acidity on the long finish.

The Eli Collection Pinot Noir 2019
Elegant, concentrated pinot noir with vanilla, spicy oak, cassis, blackcurrant and ripe plum flavours supported by a backbone of fine tannins. It can be appreciated now but will benefit from bottle age.

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
Strikes a terrific balance between mouthwatering acidity, fresh herbal notes of lemon verbena and thyme, and core flavors of Key lime, Meyer lemon, pineapple and tangerine. Gains momentum on the finish, where the flavors sing in harmony and complexity.
