Misha's Vineyard Verismo Pinot Noir 2021 750ml

Cameron Douglas MS - 96/100 OUTSTANDING! Tasted over two days with and without food - this wine delivers. A bouquet of complexity and intrigue with a deep core of minerality, fine lees, scents of barrel and earth smoke then dark red berry fruits from blackcurrant to dark-skinned cherry. Some dried herb and savoury qualities then violets and forest floor ideas. Youthful on the palate, taut and poised with a frame of tannins and acidity surrounding core fruit flavours that mirror the bouquet. Complex, dry, lengthy and developing - slowly. A wine to cellar, enjoy today with food or tomorrow on its own. For me, best drinking from 2029 through 2039.” June 2024

"A 'Reserve' style Pinot Noir, estate grown at Bendigo. "... bright ruby, it is full-bodied and savoury, with strong, vibrant cherry, plum and spice flavours, oak complexity and supple tannins. A very elegant, gentle, finely poised wine, it is drinking well now (Aug24) but also well worth cellaring." Michael Cooper [5 *].

97/100 5 stars Complex, perfumed, and seductive, the wine shows dark berry, earthy mushroom, toasted spice, tapenade, and hazelnut aromas on the nose. The concentrated palate exhibits a graceful presence and persistence. Wonderfully structured by plush texture and layers of fine tannins, it’s sophisticated and gloriously appealing. At its best: now to 2037”. May 2025 (Sam Kim www.wineorbit.com)
