Home Fields Single Vineyard Pinot Noir, 2024

The delicious 2024 vintage is the middle-tier Pinot Noir (above Moss Oaks and below Premium Reserve) from this producer at Opaki, in the northern Wairarapa.  Deeply coloured, it is weighty and notably rich, with highly concentrated, well-ripened cherry, plum, spice and nut flavours, showing excellent complexity, finely balanced tannins, and a lasting finish.  Likely to be long-lived, it's well worth cellaring to 2029+

spice, oatmeal and rich floral aromas. The palate delivers bright fruit flavours with fine texture
backed by racy acidity and fine phenolics, finishing long and pleasingly dry. At its best: now to
2026.

Home Fields Moss Oaks Pinot Noir, 2024

Deep, bright ruby, it is mouthfilling, sweet-fruited, savoury and supple, with generous, ripe cherry, plum and spice flavours, hints of nuts and dark chocolate, and the body, warmth and roundness typical of the region's reds.  Well worth cellaring, it should be at its best mid-2027+.
