Chardonnay 2024 750ml

My grandfather taught me to suck the plucked end of a red clover flower to test its sweetness. To learn what attracted the bees ! This wine reminds me of that. A fleeting, soft herbaceous honey.

In the glass, the first sensation, the breath of the vineyard or aroma, is oyster shell flintiness & tropical pineapple.  Once onboarded, texture is creamy & enveloping with tastes of brûlée, meringue, melon & mandarin.  And flavours stay onboard. This has length.

A dry wine with the suggestion of honeyed fruit character. Balanced, we think beautifully, by gentle oak.  Velvet warmth.
